| The official chronicle launch is still some weeks off and although we have a major holiday in between now and then everyone seems excited to dig in and get going. To make this anticipation beneficial I've created this post to give everyone a chance to spread their creative wings as they submit their sheets and build their Kindred's unlife. We are blessed with the unique opportunity of starting fresh, lets make it the best we can. I often find myself left unfulfilled after "pre-play" and see character concepts and relationships start to change almost immediately once we get into the game. This thread is an opportunity to tell us all about your character and to build relationships with others, both friend and foe. Welcome to The Embraced, good luck.

| Name: Jonathan Strohbeck

About: Jonathan hasn't been in St. Louis for very long compared to how long he's been a Kindred. He seems to remember things that would place him at the very least 300 years old. He is just but stern, putting his own affairs and that of the clan above all others. However he also displays acts of charity far beyond his 'well to do' brethren, his cross to bear from many Kine years within the Catholic Church. Secretive but deliberate he is a source of power not yet fully displayed within the city.
Jo/Eva: as a fellow Ventrue they've had their share of battles and triumphs. Collectively they have done much for Clan Ventrue and bolster an impressive resume. Though she is much younger there is hope that one day she will bring great honor to the Clan.

CC has been in St. Louis for quite a few decades, perhaps even a century or so, keeping away from politics as Gangrel usually do. Not many know where she hails from but occasionally, especially when she disagrees, a Caribbean accent slips through. She seems to avoid the Elysium unless it's absolutely necessary. Despite the fact she doesn't seem to have much interest in politics, she's a fervent defender of the city when it comes to potential threats and therefore has proven her loyalty to and respect from the Camarilla and it's denizens.

OPINIONS:
Elijah Swan: There's a sense of mutual respect for one another even though CC is a bit wary of the madness that lurks within these Malkavians
Emerson Reid: Sister, lover, mother... it's an odd relationship these two have together. They have been involved in the past but it didn't last long. CC still shows an obvious fondness for Emerson but perhaps that's just because he's her Clanmate.
Mira's char: They know each other from the past and CC has a degree of appreciation for this woman (even though she's a Ventrue) because of what happened back in the day.
Jonathan Strohbeck: CC is very wary of this one.
Ty's char: They get along quite well. She can appreciate his nature and attitude.

Emerson has been in St. Louis for a few years only. He's known to be social, friendly, even indiscriminately flirty at times, and a very easy going type of guy in general. Even if his every night appearance is rather unkempt he is handsome, and has shown to clean up rather well when needed. If he absolutely has to. Because he's the kind of guy to drag his feet, slouch and flop on couches or on the grass and just enjoy chilling lazily about. He owns (and teaches at) a small art gallery/studio located in a unit in a warehouse converted into industrial lofts near the river, and among the right local circles and networks his name would be known. Also; he wears sunglasses at night. And all artsy and laid back that he is, he rocks them.

Vivian has spent only her most recent past in the city, having arrived from the southern states. She seems to feel the best as a soul and spirit of any social situations, in which she is known to speak (okay, babble) quite a lot. She is known to be educated and her past determined her to become a librarian, and passion for reading is something she never truly lost. She is running a small used/antique bookstore catering for any and all tastes of potential readers. Once outside her small sanctuary of readership, the Asian-descended Toreador blossoms in pleasant and friendly contact and conversations about almost any possible and imaginable topic.

He is known for being a man of staggering intellect, with an opinion on just about any subject that comes to pass, though he speaks with a certainty about surgery and the human anatomy with the experience of a man who had made it his passion. He's known to visit Elysium fairly often, though he spends a great deal of time walking the city, or keeping himself to several clubs and bars in the city. He is old, just how old he rarely shares with his fellow Kindred.

Monica has spent over 30 years in St. Louis; despite this, she remains a mystery to many. She carries a reserved air about her, and has a sharp tongue, but also a strange sense of humor and she is rarely directly unfriendly.
She makes no secret of her contempt for the habit of keeping ghouls, and her empathy for others, kine especially, sometimes seems to fall short - nevertheless, she has proven many times that she is a staunch, unfailing supporter of the Camarilla, and despite her seeming lack of respect for humans, if there's a breach of the Masquerade, you can rely on her to tidy up the mess neatly and elegantly.
When she is upset, occasionally you can catch the glitter of age and witnessed horrors in her eyes - and on such occasions, many swears that they saw the shadows grow and stretch in her presence.
Monica speaks with a slight Spanish accent.

Alex arrived in St. Louis in the mid-70s, though his demeanor indicates he may come from an era of long ago. He tends to come off as a rather kind and quiet man contrary to many stereotypes expected of Clan Tremere, though that’s not to say he won’t speak up if he truly opposes an issue being discussed. Generally speaking, though, he carries himself with a subdued dignity.
As is often the case with Tremere, Alex tends to be utilized as a consultant for the occult or generic supernatural, selling his magical capabilities to those willing to pay the appropriate boon. That said, he tends to defect to Elijah Swan on many questions regarding occult studies, though the two appear to maintain a friendly rivalry regarding their studies. Alex's expertise openly lies in ancient texts and dogmatic structure.
In Elysium, he tends to typically wear suits, but for those who have spotted him around the city he is more often found garbed in casual wear appearing more like an older college student.

Enemies, Allies and More...
Elijah: Alex views him as a bit of a peculiar man, but cannot deny Elijah's devotion to his studies. While sometimes dumbfounded by connections the Malkavian seems to make between events and numbers that Alex fails to understand, he still appreciates the theories he's making. This of course has led to many debates between the pair, fueling a friendly theological rivalry in terms of occult studies.

About: Eva has been within the city for the past thirty years. She is not a total new comer, but she is still finding her way. After all, Kindred of a young age (yes, 30 is young) are not expected to know everything yet. She is still testing the waters of the city; the Prince being rather vicious can scary - and her own clan mates being strict and stern. She is known to help Jonathon in his ambitions within the city, but that is because he is an Elder with in her own clan. It is something that simply happens. Outside of their business dealings they can be seen speaking; but rarely are they found socializing in the extent of looking like they are together in any way. More like a pupil to a teacher.

About: Regi's arrival to St. Louis was abrupt but otherwise uneventful. His first known appearance and consequent involvement in clan and Camarilla affairs occurred a little over a year ago, making him a relatively new face among the Kindred of the city. Beyond that he has a demeanor more befitting of a Gangrel, quiet and reclusive, displaying evidence of fatigue that appears to have taken a toll on him both physically and mentally.

About:: If Kat isn't the newest addition to the city, she's a close second. Having only been around for shy of a month there aren't a great number of "facts" known about her just yet. All that's been gathered from the few meetings is she's arrived to St. Louis from the west and, while she seems plenty accustomed to the Kindred life style, the obvious signs of youth hang off her habits and mannerisms. Outspoken and ambitious, she could easily shape up to be a handful for others around her.
Regi: While her ties to this other member of clan Brujah are unknown, she sure has been asking a lot of questions about him.
Connections are unlikely due to her recent arrival, but eventful first encounters are possible!

Concept: The Retired Knight

Age: Common guesses put her at over 200 years old, but it's hard to get an accurate read. She's evidently from a time before gunpowder became a common element of warfare, having little taste for firearms, but she also seems to have been Embraced just as European society turned away from the Monarchy.
One of the older members of the Ventrue within the city, Gitte's a serious, studious figure who cuts an imposing shadow over most of her clan, as she watches and keeps a careful eye over them. Unlike the businessmen or socialites that make up the clan of Kings in the modern nights, Gitte is neither glamorous nor attractive. Her long brown hair is tied back in a practical braid, and she opts for jeans, leather boots, and a well-fitted blouse.
Her weapons - a sword and shield - are never far from her hands. She's learning to play the Jyhad without plunging into the fray, but she still holds onto the tools of warfare like a drowning woman, clutching onto the remains of a broken ship. It could be said that those weapons say a lot about Gitte - clever enough to have a mouthy Anarch’s head cut off without lifting a finger, but still wishing she could do it herself.
And then there's the burns.
God, how the harpies like to gossip over the horrible, disfiguring scarring that has twisted half of what was, at one point, a fair nice complexion. And nobody knows for certain why - not even the Nosferatu - except Gitte. And the silent, grim Knight of the Blue Bloods doesn't have much time for idle chit-chat about her appearance.
Gitte’s only known hobby, outside of her quiet, insidious manipulation of the city’s blue-collar classes, is sailing. She keeps an eighteenth century schooner docked in the nearby Port Authority, and it’s a mild attraction for any tourists in the area. She’s also known to be a remarkable combatant, and a few Kindred from Europe have whispered tales about the screaming Ventrue Valkyrie, a powerful, sweeping force in the battlefield. But since arriving in St. Louis, she hasn’t lifted her sword once, and for most Kindred, the legends remain just that. Legends.
Notes: I'm after a lot of links throughout history, particularly for some fucked up stuff if any old PCs (or NPCs) want to work out something. There's obviously a lot of possible history, from childer, to people she's mentored. Alternately, she could have taken people out on her ship sometime for vicious lessons in how to control one's Beast, and the importance of being part of the Camarilla. It's also entirely likely that people from Europe may have seen her fight, or been allies alongside her. She could have played a chess game, eager to glean lessons from manipulating pieces, or experienced the unique sensation of being outwitted by a neonate who understands the modern world better than she does.
And I really, really want her to have an enemy. Just one, really, really hated enemy; antagonism is a wonderful thing. She could have one or two people she doesn't like, or doesn't get along with, but that one person who she's hated all those centuries of her life would be a lovely thing to have.
You're probably best hitting me up via IRC or forum message, and we can nut something out!

Cecilia: Gitte gets along cordially with the Outlander, and treats her with a cool, detached interest. Rarely, she's been known to quietly speak up in support of her, and more interestingly, doesn't claim a Boon from her for doing so.
