I bet you are all wondering why, at a time like this, I am bothering to communicate my musings to you all, when there are much more pressing matters. Well, some skulls are thicker than others and since I am a woman of (mainly) words, I will offer my thoughts instead of punching people in the throat.

Foolish Pride. This seems to be the reason for the division I see in our city and honestly, it pains me. Oui, I am a Ventrue and I am a PROUD Ventrue, but I am not too proud to know or admit that not a single clan stands a chance against this threat alone. What should be knitting us together is tearing us apart, feeding right into the plan of the Sabbat. Shame on us. Shame on the Brujah. Shame on the Gangrel. And hell, shame on us all. I may not agree with every single thing that is proclaimed from higher up, but I choose my battles and...so I sum it up with this one quote:

We have not passed the point of no return, and there is still time for us all to swallow our pride and work together for the city and for the ones who lost their lives in the early ambushes of what is now a war. A war against us ALL. If you can live with knowing your comrade, your clanmate, that person you may not even like that much but hold even an ounce of respect for...if you can live knowing your pride contributed to their demise, you should leave the city now. I pity the foolish, prideful individual who stays to watch a slaughter.
On a much brighter note, the beautiful and talented Samantha Calvin of the Toreador on the release of her book, Bill W-The Zombie Hunter! Although, admittedly, the title does not scream Best Seller or Pulitzer, her satirical view of the follies of kine politics is impressive and entertaining.I look forward to seeing the next great work from this Rose. Seems after the Roses weeded the Garden, things are certainly blooming and the future looks rather promising! ....Candy who?

| I got a good chuckle out of the 'feeding right into their plan' bit considering this whole musing is over feeding rights being taken away from the Gangrel.
Use that mouth of yours to fix the issue of the Gangrel's feeding rights so they can help us against the Sabbat, and work out a way to grant them amnesty for any past alleged indiscretions for their continued contribution in the protection of this city.
We're not talking about someone calling the Gangrel and Brujah mean names that caused us to get a bug up our ass. We're talking about a decision that was made to starve the Gangrel in such a crucial time, and another asking the city's folks to risk Final Death enacting punishment for an inter clan dispute.
So come on down off that imaginary high horse of yours, Harpy. Bjorn wants to run and tattle because he can't take his licks like a man and the solution is chasing off one of our better chances of stopping the Sabbat, in favor of Bjorn who hasn't done shit but hold things up?
If you want to mistake this as foolish pride, be my guest. If it were the Ventrue getting shit on, you'd be happy to have a friend like me. It's not though, so feel free to keep tossing stones in that glass house of yours.
We're not petty and our pride isn't foolish, so despite this insult, if shit ever goes bad for you and your family you can expect us to be there.
