Within THE EMBRACED we use the 3rd Ed. V:Tm rules for learning a new discipline. However, there are expected to be some variations as the book leaves it very open ended. So, below is how we expect characters to learn in character.

Can I learn an out of character discipline?
- Yes, as shown there are rules that go with this, please see below.
- Well, you don't HAVE to, but as the STs are the ones who keep up with the sheets, your RP will be for nothing if you don't. So please, pay close attention to the way out of clan disciplines are learned.
- Because, you have to train your blood for each new level of the discipline. This is shown by drinking per level you want to learn.
- You only have to drink once to learn this discipline and you don't have to have a teacher once you drink the first time; the blood will unlock just as it does with in-clan disciplines. These "reflexive" disciplines are not clan specific.
However, to know you only have to drink once requires a Kindred Lore of 3.
How to Learn an Out of Clan Discipline
Learning Out of Clan Disciplines is really easy and is three steps.
- 1) The person teaching you has to have the level of discipline you are wanting to learn or higher.
- 2) You must drink ONCE PER level you want to learn.
- 3) You need to let a ST know that you are learning the out of clan discipline and you need to report the blood bond.
