Haven Accessories |
Security is something few people consider trivial in a vacation locale such as Maui. Even the most primitive of residences boast some form of protection, especially if the home has something of value to steal.

Businesses |
Businesses are a very tricky thing, especially in the World of Darkness; and even more difficult if the owner/operator is a Kindred who is supposed to not exist to the world. There are several steps that must be followed in order for an individual to create a business in THE EMBRACED that will allow them to gain a permanent monthly expense (resources) bonus.
A Character may only own as many Businesses equal to their Permanent Willpower regardless of the size of the Businesses.
- A HAVEN must be purchased. This represents the brick and mortar location of your business and will likely be public knowledge, if your business is of this nature.
- Internet or technical businesses will require a brick and mortar location.
- You are allowed to purchase whatever "size" haven you would like to, however your business size is limited by the size of your Haven. So a Haven Size ●●●● can be the location of a Business ●●●● or any smaller business but cannot be the location of a Business ●●●●●.
- If the Haven Size and Business Size are equal you MAY NOT use the Haven as a residence for your Character in addition to the Business. All Characters will require 1 "empty" Haven Size to reside in.
- You must achieve an extended success roll to represent start-up efforts of your business. The attribute and ability for this roll will be decided by Storyteller Staff depending on the type of business you intend to run and the method in which you intend to acquire the business overhead.
- Business ●: 14 Successes
- Business ●●: 22 Successes
- Business ●●●: 31 Successes:
- Business ●●●●: 41 Successes
- Business ●●●●●: 53 Successes
- Your Businesses will add an additional Resource Allocation to your normal Expenses equal to the level of the Business.
- A Business ● will permanently give you a +1 Bonus to your Resource Allocation whereas a Business ●●●●● will permanently give you a +5 Bonus.
- Business is also all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Each "neighborhood/district" will also add a Location Bonus to your Business that will also provide a Monthly Expense Allocation Bonus
- North City provides + 0
- South County provides + 1
- Riverfront provides + 2
- Central-West End provides + 3
- Downtown provides + 4
- For example: if you have a Business ●●● that is located in South County you would receive a + 3 Resource Bonus from your Business but would also receive a + 1 Resource Bonus because of the South County location that your Business is in. You would receive a total + 4 Resource Bonus each month because of this one Business.
- Another example: if you have a Business ●●●● that is located Downtown you would receive a + 4 Resource Bonus from your Business but would also receive a + 4 Expense bonus because of the Downtown location that your Business is in. You would receive a total + 8 Resource Bonus each month because of this one Business.
- The Haven and The Business are not required to be owned by the same Character, however only ONE Character will have ownership of the Business (it will reside on their sheet) and it will be that Character that receives the Monthly Resource Bonus. The only way for TWO Characters to "partner" together in a business if for the Haven Size to be large enough that the two characters can both own a Business within it. For example, John purchases a Haven Size ●●●●. John then also purchases Business ●● but allows his partner Matt to also purchase Business ●●. Both businesses are housed in the same Haven, both Characters receive the Monthly Resource Bonus from their INDIVIDUAL Businesses, and both benefit from the Neighborhood Bonus if applicable.
